The musician and pedagogue Ivan Klánský is one of the most important Czech pianists. He became the first Czech to compete in the finals of the prestigious International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw and won many outstanding awards. His descendants follow in his footsteps, and like their father, sell out halls at home and abroad. This musical family met for the first time on the occasion of the 70th birthday of pianist Ivan Klánský in the Dvořák Hall of the Prague Rudolfinum.
