Museum of the City of Prague: exhibition "Freedom in Art" on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the Art Meeting 2023

Umělecká beseda, the oldest Czech art association, celebrated 160 years since its foundation. On the occasion of its anniversary, the Museum of the City of Prague has prepared an exhibition of the members of this branch in the reconstructed premises of the Clam-Gallas Palace. Through more than 130 works by 58 artists, the exhibition "Freedom in Art" outlined the path the Art Society has travelled in its more than 100 years of operation. The visual arts represented over the last twenty years of the union's history spanned the full breadth of its work, from classical painting to printmaking and ceramics to conceptually composed works.
