ALMA: THEATRE PERFORMANCE ...because of Alma 2023, 2024

The production ...because of Alma is inspired by the moving fate of violinist Alma Rosé.  The story of the daughter of Viennese violinist Arnold Rosé and the niece of Gustav Mahler encompasses not only all the incomprehensible and terrifying twists and turns of European history in the first half of the 20th century, but also the question of the power of music in human life. The extraordinary life of Alma Rosé was adapted for the stage by playwright Martina Kinská, director Jaroslava Šiktancová and violinist Silvie Hessová, who initiated the whole project.
