The second feature-length documentary by Veronika Lišková, Visitors, follows the interesting professional and personal experience of scientist Zdenka Sokolíčková. The anthropologist moved with her family to Svalbard to observe the transformation of life in the polar regions. Gradually, she uncovers the tensions that lie beneath the surface. Like Zdenka's research, the film is thematically complex and touches on environmental issues, geopolitics and migration. The Visitors had its world premiere at the prestigious Locarno Film Festival and was presented for the first time in the Czech Republic by the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival.
